I hope that you are having a great spring 2017.  Many of us in the industry and our fans are busy and excited for the summer concert season.  I just went to Eddie Trunk Production's 9th Annual M3 Music Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.  I had a blast seeing the amazing M3 hard rock and heavy metal acts with Kix and RATT headlining nights one and two, respectively.

 Winger, Dokken, Jack Russell's Great White, Danger Danger, Tom Kiefer's  Cinderella and many more acts inspired me so much in the 80's and at M3 2017 that I played a show yesterday over Facebook LIVE for three hours.  My goal was to entertain my fans and progress the '\m/ HEAVeROCK' \m/' entertainment arts.

During my Facebook LIVE show, about a dozen rockers from all over joined me. I got positive praise and hard rock fan participation from France, Belgium, across the U.S., with Latinas from Peru, South America, and elsewhere.  Many music fans stayed on for nearly a hour while I jammed impromptu in studio on my 16+ instrument synthesizer workstation. 

A friend, singer and fellow musician, Mr. James Hitchcock of 'Grindhaus' from Southern Maryland viewed from work for an hour or so, returned from work and than came back.  Grindhaus is a high quality live cover and emerging original band, so I certainly James' interest.  Notice was sent to the group as I became inspired, but these folks were given only a few hours.  So, I am really impressed by their tuning in, commenting and their lasting engagement during the show.  I got many favorable comments on my music and I am so grateful to each and every one of my fans!!

During the show, I gave general announcements for some upcoming song contests, events and asked for industry mentoring, gear and other resources.  I hope to release full contest details later in 2017,  as I continue to clear life events and obstacles.  However, I do expect to perform on Facebook LIVE again in the coming months; I have original and progressive composition ideas across several genres starting with classical hard rock that you won't want to miss.  I'll develop and unleash these original songs as soon as my rigging, studio and recording (mics) and improving health allow.  I am working as fast as I can!!...

Another Career & Bucket List Item:
My life's dream is to write and release original compositions across several genres.  Further, I want to get my 'show' and tour ready in 2017 or soon after, which allows me to record live and uncensored and with as much excitement as I can deliver within these constraints.  The writing will  come after, as I record, and then tour with other musicians to celebrate music and my three years of top 20 success on the local Mid-Atlantic emerging charts (Visit me at 'www.reverbnation.com/TedPalmer' for further information).

After yesterday's show, I even received two offers of support in the form of professional gear and services from music insiders who said that they were willing to line up some resources for me.  One offer came from Ms. Kimberly Bell of Delaware who was actually a Stephen Tyler Aerosmith groupie as well as a Harvard graduate.  I don't know how long Ms. Bell, other supporters or this ramp up process will take for everything to solidify but I hope that 2017 may be a pivotal, milestone year. 

We'll see!!...

Are Composing Musicians Dying Early Because of Unfair Payment Practices?

Hey Rockers,

I write you from sadness, and the lost of many in my life.  Both family and friends, and the barrage of this week's death of Glenn Frye (R.I.P.) of The Eagles, an amazing musician.  The Eagle's Long Run tour and Glenn's extreme talent inspired me in many ways.  Very, very sad that ' The Desperado' has passed.

Prior to Glenn Frye's death, the deaths in late in 2015-2016 were shocking. 

Lemmy's (R.I.P.) passing, devastated the entire rock world, and many are still shocked.  'Lemmy is God', as esteemed actor Steve Buschemi jokingly quipped in the movie 'Airheads'.  Lemmy had such profound and positive impacts on our lives and world with songs like 'Bastards', and more.  Lemmy is definitely in or headed for heaven.

Not to offend anybody, but there are simply too many dearly departed musicians to list here.  You can check out my Facebook daily posted tributes to my favorite fallen artists.  These postings still do not pay homage enough to the true loss of each good soul.

But, why?

The Problem.

Given the difficulty musicians have in trying to emerge as artists and then get fairly compensated for their work, it really makes me wonder; how many artisans, including composing musicians have been dying prematurely due to unfair payment practices?

During research, I recently found out that Congress actually has a Bill that they are considering to fix unfair compensation practices, so it is a real problem.  However, I believe that that Congress and our political leaders are part of the problem today, and they created this problem decades ago.  Our leaders likely knew about unfair compensation practices, and were concealing it.  Our leaders likely have been controlling our music, and our musicians like slaves, and the music itself has suffered.

Musical integrity has been dying a slow death, while musicians themselves have died.

What?  For more billions dollar election campaigns?

The Positive Contributions of Musicians and their Paycheck...

 >>  What would a Superbowl be like without music?

 >>  What would television be like without music?

So, does the stress to get paid fairly cause the premature death of musicians?

 >>  How many lives have we lost prematurely (direct losses)?

 >>  How many lives have been lost indirectly?

 >>  How much have we lost?  Culturally?  In other areas?

Was it worth it?

Now, please reflect on this serious matter, and talk about that concept and comment by clicking through the title header above, or below (if you already have done so).

Please pay homage to lost artists everywhere by always remembering to celebrate the lives of our fallen musicians, artists, and others in the artistic communities of citizens.  Life would not be so grand without musicians, who thoughtfully compose for us.

Being a hard rock realist, I do not expect our politicians to treat musicians fairly anytime soon.  However, please raise awareness of these issues, and call your Congressional Representative to lobby for fair practices.  It cannot hurt matters.  To increase your effectiveness, lobby repeatedly in writing and then over the phone to let your Representatives know of this tragedy and the great contributions that musicians made to your life through their work, and how their art improved our daily lives.  A one page letter is fine.  In addition, please use educational rally's and all other productive forms of protest to push for reforms until musicians and other artists are fairly compensated.

POWERING UP w a NEW SONG

Hey ROCKERS!!

Ted here ... Despite my holding a top ten position on the emerging artist charts for nearly a year (BIG THANKS!!), the last twelve months have also been full of more life event setbacks due to Maryland community bigotry, which is amoral and the polar opposite of community support.  Systematic abuse of the public (me) and more cover ups by the Judiciary, the police and their cronies, injustice, 'psychopsema', and 'political suppression of the opposition' here in Maryland.

FASCIST TYRANNY is NOT a great place to live, be with loved ones, raise children, or have a family.  Very shameful and very UNAMERICAN.

However, with the help of a few friends and principled resolve, I have been avoiding worse outcomes.  Thank you all for the REAL support!!

So, to turn complete ROCKville community cleptocrat metaphorical fire hydrant of URINE & FECES DECEPTION into lemonade, I recently penned a new song below.  I am rebuilding my gear and studio to support the music, but I wanted to share it with everyone now.

One day, I hope to regain my dignity as a human being free from human rights abuse and further exploitation, and strength and get out of this bigoted, fascist led community of LAWYER LIAR$, and their SPAWN, KIN and CRONIE$.

UNFORTUNATE NEWS : MUSIC RELATED PROJECTS CANCELLED & OPERATIONS CLOSING INDEFINITELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Dear Friends, Rocker Fans, etc ...

Two decades of 'legal abuse syndrome' in Maryland with no social safety net for me, economic terrorism, denial of services, more targeting of my 401K retirement and whole physical health failure that recently made my own Dr., my loved ones for the second time and me cry this week, and no cash remedy or reward via a balanced life, I have cancelled all music related projects, and am powering down ALL operations.  I want accountability, remedy, and fair treatment.  I do NOT want remedy handouts or similar charity.

I am going into a full and indefinite no technology seclusion and swearing off all technology until the MD Health Insurance Program S.H.I.P. Counselor provides me a single point of contact (S.P.O.C.) for remedies, un-roadblocked health care, etc.

Then, hopefully I can recover, refocus and regain my personal physical health and fading spirit using all my 'earned services' during full recovery and after throughout my life.  Maryland's S.H.I.P. was unwilling to do business with me.  Then, I can regain my personal dignity in my life for my pursuits, find joyous personal activities that make me and mine happy, and I can recover fully so we can mend.

Cancelled all music related projects.  Powered down all operations until MD S.P.O.C. provided,,, remedy and full spiritual recovery and life bucket list items are caught up.  During time, I will not be available.

Please respect this notice with no newer, dated posts, no spam, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Thanks for a Great 2014 but Welcome 2015!! I Am So Glad You Are Here!!

I am back to blogging in 2015.

2014 sucked in many ways for me and I am glad it is gone.  However, this new year 2015 will be better than ever because due to your continued support and interest in my work, I am writing you from the #2 emerging rock artist spot along the entire Mid-Atlantic corridor!!

In addition and as of this writing, I am holding the #435 national USA rock ranking and the #579 global ranking for rock musicians.  All was acheived against some serious competition from other, more well funded artists, and even without yet singing a word.  I am very happy with these results and am pinching myself that my dream to tour big time is coming true.
